The Murakami Plushy Denim is a radical reinterpretation of pop-art iconography through the lens of LORD’S signature deconstructive philosophy. This 1 of 1 archival piece serves as a tactile dialogue between the cheerful maximalism of Takashi Murakami.

Architectural Distortion: This garment features an asymmetric, multi-tonal denim base. A lighter-wash indigo wedge is spliced into the traditional mid-wash frame, creating a forced perspective that disrupts the standard linear silhouette. The piece is further animated by hand-sketched distressing of Murakami’s iconic smiling flowers, rendered in tonal etching to mimic ghost-like impressions of the original art.

Sculptural Assemblage: The defining feature is the high-mass, multi-dimensional plushy integration. Authentic, vibrant Murakami Kaikai Kiki plush elements are fused directly into the denim’s architecture on the lower limb of the left leg.
